This is another X Girlfriend inspired track. Although in more of a surreal way. The lyrics litterally tells the story of a crazy dream I had about opening a door to this girls room where she had been waiting for me, and as soon as I was about to hold her again, a rush, flash flood, of salt water washed us apart. I could even taste the salt in the dream! I spent the rest of the time trying to find her, as she always just slipped away, and I of course, woke up!

Alex T. Boyle and I were living together in Fremont and boyle had been working on some rhythems with his Line 6 loop station. He made this and left it playing for hours. I slipped the cables into the Tascam 16 track and recorded the loop. That's all I needed, it was perfect and simple for the song.
